Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has hailed Darwin Nunez as the man who made the difference after he came on as a substitute and scored twice in stoppage time to help the Reds beat Brentford 2-0.

“It was a tough game. It’s always a tough game to come to Brentford. The way they press high up, they keep dropping deep and the quality they have on the counter-attack. But we did well. We kept working, kept trying and in the end Darwin made the difference with the two goals.”

“We’ve had that in two games in a row, especially สมัครสมาชิก UFABET วันนี้ รับเครดิตฟรีทุกวัน in the second half against Forest. It’s the quality of Brentford, trying to put more pressure on us because they’re going to play on the counter-attack. We did well and limited the chances.”

“Darwin, since the first day he came he has brought a lot of energy. As a striker you are judged on the goals you score, maybe it’s more difficult than it used to be. He’s working hard and learning. Today he played a big part in the win. It’s well deserved.”

‘Today is just a small piece of the puzzle. We will continue to work on it.’
